Today, I’m proud to announce the launch of Suns Out AI, the public product brand of Suns Out LLC — a Seattle-based software company I founded in January 2025 to build apps and tools with a privacy-first focus and human-centered design.

What does privacy-first mean in practice? We will only build and launch products that put users in control of the information they share and store. Where possible, our apps run entirely on your device — no cloud processing, no data leaving your phone. Apple’s on-device intelligence makes this possible in ways that weren’t practical a few years ago, and we intend to use it fully. When we do rely on third-party AI models, we will only choose providers that don’t train on your data, and we will disclose which APIs we use.

Too many companies treat their customers as the product. We’re different. If you purchase or subscribe to anything we build, we won’t sell your data or use it to push you toward other products. Privacy is a human right, and that principle is core to how Suns Out LLC operates.
